Here's a link to the bike I am thinking of selling. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/bik/1256491130.html I figured I would post it here before I move on to Ebay. Also, any thoughts on selling it whole or selling the Frame and PowerTap whe...

They don't put the buoys in until Thursday morning, so don't plan on swimming the actual course until Thursday afternoon. There is a great quarry you can swim in that is right on the bike course though. You can park at the quarry, swim and then ho...

I ride an 11/23, but I can ride the course daily. I don't have any difficulty, but I like to push big gears. Many of my friends go with a 12/25 though and are happy with it. If you find yourself looking for another gear on a downhill run of a mode...

Very nice. We live in Lafayette, just outside Boulder. We also have a place in Keystone. Always nice to go up there to get away from it all!

Is it possible to view watts, speed, cadence, and heartrate at the same time. It appears that you can only view Three(3) things at once.
+++ Don't hate me for this... if you have watts.... then why do you need speed or heart rate? Watts--Speed/HR--cadence/miles/time/hr/kjs from top to bottom on the display

How accurate is the Speed and Cadance?
+++I've found the hub cadence to be quite reliable... others not so much. for speed you have to properly input the wheel circumfrance for it to be spot on.

What do you benefit from purchasing the Speed/Cadence Sensor?
+++ none

Laslty, do I need to do anything if I am riding on a trainer or doesn't it matter?
+++nope... yer good to go!

Thanks for all your previous advice.
+++ you are very welcome :)

Have fun playing with power!

That's good stuff. I agree that Felt has really gotten their act together over the past couple of years. Their market share is undoubtedly going to rise this coming year, as you mentioned with Slipstream, etc. The reason that I ask about the response on the bayonet fork ties into your comment about handling of TT bikes in the first place. If a TT bike handles 25% as well as a road bike (probably an exaggerated number), then doubling its handling quality still only makes it 50% as good as a road bike. Nonetheless, I find myself gravitating to the Felt line. I'm paying a completely unnecessary visit to my LBS today, so it's very possible that I'll walk walk out with something I really don't NEED ... like a B2.

Cheers!

I am a newbe to IM, but I live in WI. I have been to IMW as a spectator/ volunteer twice and in October I rode one loop of the course. Because I am new I thought the course was hilly and other people who I know who race it make the same comment. I biked 40 miles of it without having biked much at all leading up to it. The course is beautiful and if you have freinds and family, there is many opportunities for them to see you. I am not a racer, just a mom with dreams so I can't help you with tire size. You will love Madison, and good luck in FL. Donna

IMoo Update...

First off, you Rock MIke. The plan is awesome. For me, I should of had a better running base, but of well.

We thought the weather was going to be iffy, but it turned out to be a great day. Nice and Coooool.

I decided to start the swim in the front on the right. It worked well until the first turn which was crowded. I got out of the water feeling good when I saw the my time was 1:09. T1 was long - 13min and I got on the bike very excited to be racing in my first IM. The hills were a pain, so I… Continue

Gatorade Endurance Orange - Where to Buy???

I cannot seem to find anywhere(Internet or Store) that sells the Orange. Currently, I train with the Lime and it was a pleasant change to the palate this past weekend in Florida to drink the Orange on the bike. However, I would like to train with it as well. I just spoke to someone at Gatorade and they didn't understand why I can't find it nor could not explain why it wasn't available on their Online Store. Therefore, I am posting this to the group to see if anyone else has experie… Continue

Florida 70.3 Recap - Thanks Mike....

First, I want to thank Mike for this AWESOME plan and the emails prior to my departure. I'm not too sore today from Sunday, so I guess that is a good thing.

Well, I have to admit I was very nervous for this race as it was my first at this distance, but Mike's Plan and most of all his words of encouragement really helped. I was also nervous as I didn't know if I was fit enough to complete the run. As it turns out I think I did well overall. Below are my stats:

Overall - 06:02:45 911's place out… Continue
