I plan to do some riding and/or running this weekend. I'm slow at both and won't be going far so if anyone wants a recovery workout or if there are others out there who are mucho slow, let me know and we'll plan something. I only have a picnic lun...
I liked Philly too! It was my first Olympic and I was in one of the las waves to the bike course had thinned out by the second loop. The course kept it interesting with some good downhills and flats to hammer out.

Thanks for the nutrition tips about hot weather, I watched a friend who did the race last year and it was hot just watching!! Harriman is about 45 minutes north of the city, I know there are good lakes to practice there, I may make a day trip to go there to ride and swim with some friends this summer. Thanks again and best of luck to you in your training and racing this season.
Hey, yes these pictures are from Harriman, I did the Olympic distance race as a prep for the NYC triathlon this year, and was a bit bummed the swim was canceled. It was a fun race overall, but it turned out to be an expensive brick workout! I am new to triathlon having only done a couple of sprints last year, but love the sport and plan on doing 4 races this year. Are you aware of anyplace- besides Harriman state park, near NYC that are good to practice open water swims?

How was your ride on Saturday. We had some rain on Kinnelon Road
I saw you running past my house on Sunday you caused me some guilt for not working on my base enough, but not enough guilt to put the sneakers on!!
Keep up the good work

Is the Wyeth 5K hilly? I am tossing around the idea of doing it as a training run. Three weeks of running hardly gives me a base for a solid 5K...so it would just be a fun run.
