April 26 - St. Anthony's - Olymp - St. Petes, Fl - swim was cancelled due to crazy surf conditions, so it was a bike and run event - 4000 total athletes, totally crazy... 26th in my age group in 2:07 - 'satisfied with first effort of season' - Qualified for US Nationals Again in August, Tuscaloosa
May 16 - Endura - Olymp - Harriman, NY - 2:46 - 2nd Place - swim cancelled due to fog!!!
June 7 - Keuka Lake, NY - Olymp - USAT Regional Qualifier - bad back - did not compete
June 20 - Wyckoff, NJ - Sprint - 1st. Place Age Group, 124 / 748 overall - 1:46
June 28 - Philadelphia Triathlon - Sprint - 1st. Place Age Group, 123 / 1436 overall - 1:32
July 26 - NJ State - Olymp - 2nd. Place Age Group - 2:35
August 22 - US National Age Groups - Tuscaloosa, AL

I've been a runner for about 27 years and was totally bored with running when I discovered multi-sport. Participating in 5 sprint tris in 07 has renewed my focus on health and overall fitness ... and I'm having lots of fun again. In September while competing in the Westchester NY Tri, I was fortunate to qualify for the US Age Group National Championships in Oregon, in Sept 08. - Stay tuned!!!

US National Age Group Championships - Portland OR - Olympic - 36th place (first time at nationals, better results next year) Time of 2:37 was 7 min faster than my previous best time so I was happy overall.
Ithaca NY - National Sprint Championships - 6th place - super competitive!!
Wyckoff - 1st place
Philly - 10th place

2007
Westchester - 4th place (qualified for Nationals)
SBR, Harriman - 1st place
SBR, Harriman - 1st place
Mighty North Fork, LI - 4th place

Music

Doreen and I started a band called 'Strange Brew' in the early 90's. It was a great learning experience for me, because I was a novice but really wanted to learn to perform and become a singer. We were fortunate to recruit top notch professional musicians and the band was very well received. We played all the top clubs in northern NJ and many in NYC. Some high points were playing Club Bene, Crossroads at Garwood and then being invited to partcipate in a skit on the Late Show with Letterman (twice).

Share Ride To Tuscaloosa for US Age Group Nationals - See Details

I'm driving to Tuscaloosa in August to compete in the US Age Group Nationals and I'm looking to share the ride and drive with another competitor.

Departure Date: Tuesday, August 18th.
Arrival in Tuscaloosa: Wednesday, August 19th.
Ride the bike course: August 20th.
Relax: August 21
Race on August 22
Return to NJ: August 23
